This 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training takes place amidst the natural splendor of Whangarei Heads from May 24th to June 17th 2024, and is an experience like no other. In the intimacy of a small group, you'll work closely with highly experienced yoga trainers, Manouk Tideman C-IAYT and Jo Woollacott C-IAYT who will guide you through a month of profound self-discovery and growth. This 200hr Yoga Teacher Training teaches students all the knowledge and skills required to be effective and compassionate Yoga Teachers in today’s modern world and it does this in a collaborative, inspiring and supportive environment with a therapeutic and trauma-informed perspective of yoga. Small group size. The group will be 3 to 8 students per training, thereby ensuring you receive plenty of attention to your personal practice and also have the ability to develop yourself as a highly skilful  yoga teacher through plenty of feedback and support from your trainers.

The Curriculum

The curriculum is built around six main topics, each of which is designed to give you a comprehensive and practically-applicable understanding of essential subjects related to the teaching of yoga. The main style of yoga taught during this 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is Hatha Yoga, which offers an opportunity to explore each pose in great depth and create a solid foundation for practicing and teaching yoga safely and appropriately. We will also look at other styles of yoga including Vinyasa Yoga and Restorative Yoga.

Your Trainers

Manouk Tideman

Manouk is the Lead Trainer for this programme. She is a certified Yoga Therapist and Yoga Teacher Trainer, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the realm of therapeutic and remedial yoga.

Jo Woollacott

Jo is the co-trainer for this programme. She embarked on her yoga journey at 16, and has served as the owner-manager of WHY retreat, infusing it with her passion for well-being.

The ‘Penthouse’ Caravan (Can be booked for 1 private or 2 shared spots)

This is the perfect option for those who would like some more privacy and space for themselves. The ‘Penthouse’ Caravan offers a rustic and cozy home-away-from-home, and has twin single beds, its own kitchen and living area, sink and toilet. It is available as a private room or shared with one other person. Shower facilities are available in the main house (20 meters away).
